Barbaresco DOCG - Gallina - Oddero represents one of the most elegant and profound interpretations of Nebbiolo, the symbolic grape variety of Piedmont, cultivated in the prestigious "Gallina" vineyard located in the municipality of Neive. The Oddero winery, with a history that has its roots in the 18th century, is dedicated to the production of wines that faithfully reflect the terroir they belong to, through careful management of the vineyards and vinification that aims to enhance the pure varietal expression.

The Barbaresco Gallina di Oddero stands out for its ability to combine power and elegance, distinctive characteristics of the Nebbiolo from this specific area of the Langhe, recognized for the finesse and complexity of its wines. Thanks to the exposure and composition of the soil of the Gallina vineyard, the wine acquires a particular aromatic richness and a balanced tannic structure, which promises excellent aging potential.

Visually, the wine has a garnet red color, typical of the great Nebbiolos, with orange reflections that intensify as it evolves in the bottle. On the nose, Barbaresco Gallina offers a rich and varied aromatic bouquet, with notes of cherry, berries, violet, and hints of spices and wet earth, enriched by a light vein of tobacco and leather, the result of aging in wood.

In the mouth, the wine demonstrates remarkable complexity and depth, with silky tannins and well-integrated acidity supporting its elegance and persistence. The flavors, consistent with the olfactory sensations, lead to a long and refined finish, characterized by a pleasant minerality and a persistent aftertaste.

Ideal in combination with rich and tasty dishes, such as red meats, dishes based on mushrooms and truffles, game and mature cheeses, the Barbaresco DOCG Gallina di Oddero also lends itself magnificently as a meditation wine, capable of evolving and enriching itself with new nuances in the over the years.
