Giacomo Fenocchio's company opened in the 19th century in Monforte D'Alba, a reality that has always expressed great quality and authenticity, relying solely on the great tradition of the native. The varietal Cannubi, among the oldest crus of the denomination, it highlights all the natural character of Nebbiolo; the vines have an average age of 40 years. The grapes are vinified according to the traditional Langhe method which includes a long maceration on the lees, spontaneous fermentation and aging for at least 30 months in Slavonian oak barrels.

It shows a garnet red color with bright ruby reflections; on the nose the bouquet is complex, with hints of medicinal herbs and dried flowers, accompanied by notes of licorice roots, cloves and aromas of black pepper. On the palate it is dry, with a perfect harmony between dense tannins and freshness; long persistence of beeswax and chinotto.

A superior red, superb excellent to combine with rather important meat dishes such as venison and game.
