The Barolo Classico DOCG - Magnum - Oddero is an oenological jewel produced by the Oddero winery, a historic and highly prestigious name in the Piedmontese wine scene. This winery, which boasts a tradition spanning over two centuries, is located in the heart of the Langhe, a territory recognized by UNESCO for its inestimable landscape and cultural value linked to viticulture.

Presented in an elegant Magnum format, which underlines the nobility of this wine and favors its organoleptic evolution over time, the Barolo Classico DOCG of Oddero represents the purest and most traditional expression of Nebbiolo, the king vine of Piedmontese viticulture. The term "Classico" indicates that the wine is the result of the assembly of grapes coming from different vineyards located in the best sub-areas of Barolo, thus offering a complete and harmonious overview of the various expressions of the terroir.

At sight, the Barolo Classico di Oddero has a garnet red color, characteristic of Nebbiolo-based wines, with orange reflections that become accentuated with aging. On the nose, the wine unfolds a complex and inviting bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruits, spices, dried flowers, tobacco and undergrowth, enriched by earthy and mineral nuances that reflect the diversity of the soils of origin of the grapes.

In the mouth, the Barolo Classico DOCG of Oddero expresses a solid and imposing structure, supported by vigorous but elegant tannins and a well-balanced acidity, which gives freshness and longevity to the wine. The palate is enveloping, with a richness of flavors that echoes the olfactory sensations and leads to a long and persistent finish, a sign of a wine of great complexity and evolutionary potential.

Ideal in combination with rich and structured dishes, such as red meats, game, dishes based on mushrooms and truffles and mature cheeses, Barolo Classico DOCG in Magnum format is also a perfect meditation wine, which invites slow and careful tasting for fully appreciate its depth and elegance.

Winery history
The Oddero family has been in La Morra since the 18th century; the modern estate dates from 1878, when the first Giacomo Oddero began bottling wines under the family name. In the 20th century, the management of Giacomo helped consolidate the estate’s reputation; today the business is run by the next generations, who maintain the family tradition while expanding the vineyards and production.
Production philosophy
The winery aims to express the terroir by working with careful attention in the vineyard and with respect for the environment: organic practices and sustainable management are adopted to showcase the individual crus and preserve the heritage of the Langhe. In the cellar, priority is given to preserving the integrity of the grapes and to aging in large casks for wines that evolve over time.
