The Barolo DOCG from Bricco Carlina winery is a superb expression of the Piedmontese terroir, renowned for producing some of Italy's finest and most long-lived wines. This wine stands out for its deep complexity and extraordinary elegance, a result of carefully selected grapes and a meticulous winemaking process.

Intense garnet red in color with orange hues that intensify with aging, Bricco Carlina's Barolo offers a rich and complex bouquet on the nose. Notes of ripe fruit such as cherry and raspberry blend with nuances of violet, tobacco, and leather, enriched by a light spicy touch. The presence of wood is well integrated, resulting from a long refinement in oak barrels that contribute to the wine's structure and longevity.

On the palate, it presents a powerful yet harmonious attack. The tannic texture is robust but velvety, perfectly balanced by the acidity which adds freshness. The finish is long and persistent, with an aftertaste that brings to mind spices and tobacco, inviting another sip.

Bricco Carlina's Barolo is particularly suited to accompany rich dishes, such as braised meats, roasted red meats, and game, but it is also sublime with aged cheeses. It is advisable to decant it at least an hour before serving, to enhance all its nuances.

This wine not only represents an excellent choice for a special occasion but is also an ideal candidate for aging, capable of evolving and improving for many years in the cellar.

Winery history
The winery grew from family experience and the enthusiasm of Camilla and Francesco Scavino. The siblings established their winery when they returned to their home region, transforming an experimental project started in the family farmhouse into a small commercial production. The estate has since expanded by working vineyards across the Langhe and Monferrato and by creating labels that showcase the local crus.
Production philosophy
Low-impact viticulture with an organic and eco‑sustainable approach; minimal-intervention winemaking practices to enhance the typicity of the grapes and the terroir, prioritizing innovation that does not alter the product.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located across the hills of the Langhe and Monferrato, with headquarters and operations at the foothills of the Castello di Grinzane Cavour. Calcareous‑clayey soils, favourable exposures and vineyards cultivated using organic methods are highlighted in the winery's profile.
