The Barolo DOCG "Cannubi" by Damilano is an extraordinary expression of the Nebbiolo grape, grown on the famous Cannubi hill, one of the most renowned in the Barolo area. This wine, coming from one of the oldest wineries in Barolo founded in 1890, represents a perfect synthesis of tradition and innovation.

The Cannubi vineyard is distinguished by its soil rich in sand and limestone, which gives the wine an elegant and harmonious structure. The unique microclimate of the area promotes optimal ripening of the grapes, which are carefully selected and hand-harvested.

Damilano's Barolo "Cannubi" undergoes a traditional winemaking process, with a long maceration of the skins to extract intense colors and robust tannins. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, followed by aging for at least 24 months in large oak barrels and further refinement in the bottle before being released on the market.

On tasting, the Barolo "Cannubi" displays an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose opens with a complex bouquet where notes of ripe red fruit, spices, tobacco, and subtle nuances of roses and violet emerge. In the mouth, it is vigorous yet balanced, with velvety tannins and a long aromatic persistence that finishes with notes of licorice and mint.

This wine is ideal for pairing with dishes of red meats, game, and aged cheeses. With its aging potential, Damilano's Barolo "Cannubi" can be stored in the cellar for decades, evolving and improving over time.
