In the mouth it is a symphony of fullness. Fruity and citrus notes emerge, with fragrances of strawberry, plum and cherry that intertwine in a masterful way. The tannin is fine but at the same time imposing, supporting a structure of extraordinary persistence.

The finish is a celebration of balsamic notes that give this wine a rare elegance and unparalleled balance. Vietti's Barolo Cerequio is an experience worth living, a tribute to the greatness of Barolo and an unparalleled oenological masterpiece.

A pioneer in the selection of Barolo crus. First single-varietal vinifications of Roero Arneis. Artist-designed labels from collaborations that began in the 1970s. 75 hectares of vineyards spread across Langhe, Roero, Asti and Colli Tortonesi. Acquired by the Krause family in 2016, while maintaining the company's identity.
Winery history
The Vietti winery was founded at the end of the 19th century in Castiglione Falletto; in 1917 Mario Vietti transformed the estate into a business focused on producing quality wines. In the 1950s Alfredo Currado introduced technical and cultural innovations that led to the creation of one of Barolo’s first crus and, in 1967, to the production of Roero Arneis as a single-varietal wine. Since 2016 the property has been owned by the Krause family, who have continued the winery’s development while respecting its identity and historic vineyards.
Production philosophy
An approach combining artisanal tradition with a focus on sustainability: meticulous vineyard care, minimal interventions, selective winemaking and the enhancement of individual vineyards to express the terroir in the bottle.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards spread across the Langhe, Roero, Astigiano and Colli Tortonesi, with historic crus in the Barolo area and parcels also in areas such as Monforte d'Alba and La Morra. The estate reports a significant presence within the UNESCO-recognized area.
