Barolo DOCG - Ravera - Cagliero is a prized expression of one of the most renowned terroirs of the Barolo denomination. Produced by the Cagliero winery, located in the heart of the Langhe, Piedmont, this wine comes from the specific MGA (Additional Geographical Mention) of Ravera, known for its unique soil and favorable microclimate which allow it to obtain Nebbiolo grapes of exceptional quality.

Ravera is a vineyard that stands out for its exposure and the particular soil rich in marl and sandstone, which contribute to giving Barolo a distinctive complexity and structure. The Cagliero winery, with its long tradition and dedication to quality viticulture, adopts careful and environmentally friendly practices to maximize the potential of the Nebbiolo grapes.

Visually, the Barolo DOCG Ravera di Cagliero has a deep garnet red color, with orange nuances that develop with aging. On the nose, the wine reveals a rich and complex bouquet, characterized by notes of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and plums, enriched by nuances of dried roses, tobacco, leather and spices, witnesses of the elegant passage in wood that integrates and enriches the aromatic profile of the wine.

On the palate, Barolo Ravera expresses itself with a solid structure and well-present but finely smooth tannins, a sign of a wine with great structure and aging potential. The balance between acidity and body is remarkable, with a long and persistent finish that lets a pleasant mineral vein and spicy notes emerge, reflecting the complexity and uniqueness of Ravera's terroir.

Ideal to accompany structured and tasty dishes, such as roast meats, braised meats, truffle-based dishes and mature cheeses, Barolo DOCG Ravera - Cagliero is also an excellent meditation wine, which invites careful tasting to fully appreciate its richness and the depth.
