The Sassicaia from Tenuta San Guido is one of the most prestigious Italian wines, born in the lush vineyards of Bolgheri, on the Tuscan coast. Known worldwide for its elegance and complexity, this wine stands as a true icon for wine lovers.

Tenuta San Guido planted the first Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc vines in the 1940s, creating a wine that broke with the Italian tradition of that era, drawing instead inspiration from the great Bordeaux wines. The Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC is the result of this innovative legacy, resulting in a masterful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (85%) and Cabernet Franc (15%).

When tasting, Sassicaia presents itself with a deep ruby red color, tending towards garnet with aging. It reveals a complex and intense bouquet on the nose, where notes of ripe fruits like blackcurrant and plum are recognizable, integrated with nuances of tobacco, cedar, and light touches of spices and vanilla, deriving from a 24-month maturation in French oak barriques.

On the palate, the wine is structured and well-balanced, with silky tannins leading to a long and persistent finish. Its well-balanced acidity and aromatic complexity make it a wine with great aging potential, capable of evolving and improving over many years.

Perfect for pairing with robust dishes such as red meat roasts, game, or aged cheeses, the Bolgheri Sassicaia enchants with its refinement and depth, offering an unforgettable tasting experience.
