Il Borghetta Lugana Riserva DOC, produced by the renowned Avanzi winery, represents an excellent example of how a white wine can embody elegance and depth. The grapes used for this reserve come exclusively from the best vineyards located in the heart of the Lugana denomination, where the microclimate and the limestone-rich clay soil contribute to giving the wine unique and unmistakable characteristics.

The winemaking process follows strict criteria to maintain the integrity of the fruit and enhance its natural qualities. After harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed, and the must ferments in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature. This is followed by a maturation period in oak barrels that not only enriches the wine with vanilla and toasted nuances but also refines its structure, making it more complex and long-lasting.

On the nose, the Borghetta Lugana Riserva DOC opens with an intriguing bouquet that intertwines notes of ripe white fruits like melon and pear with subtle hints of almond, aromatic herbs, and a touch of minerality reminiscent of wet stone. On the palate, the wine is rich and enveloping, with an impeccable balance between invigorating acidity and a pleasant creaminess that leads to a persistent and aromatic finish.

Recommended with refined fish dishes, such as seafood risottos or baked sea bass, this Lugana Riserva also pairs well with soft cheeses or as a sophisticated aperitif to start a special evening. Serve at a temperature of 10-12°C to fully appreciate its range of aromas and seductive texture.

In summary, Avanzi's Borghetta Lugana Riserva DOC is a captivating white wine that enchants and wins over, a perfect testament to the winemaking mastery of the Lugana territory.
