Il Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Rennina, produced by the prestigious Pieve Santa Restituta Gaja, represents a refined expression of the sangiovese grosso grown in the lands of Montalcino, famous for its excellent wine quality.

This Brunello stands out for its careful aging, maturing in oak barrels that enhance its structure and olfactory complexity. On the nose, intense notes of ripe red fruits, undergrowth, and a delicate spiciness emerge, accompanied by hints of tobacco and vanilla that enrich its aromatic profile.

On the palate, it is harmonious, elegant, and enveloping, with well-integrated tannins and a persistent freshness that guarantees a long evolution over time. Ideal for pairing with red meats, roasts, and aged cheeses, the Rennina embodies the elegance and power typical of one of the greatest Italian red wines.

Winery history
Pieve Santa Restituta winery was founded by Roberto Bellini in 1974; in 1994 the estate was acquired by the Gaja family. The name comes from the ancient pieve at the centre of the estate, whose historical traces are very old and whose grounds have been cultivated with vines for centuries.
Production philosophy
