This distinguished DOC Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the renowned vineyards of La Riva, located in the heart of the Italian wine region. Boccadiferro, a historic winery, is known for its dedication to blending traditional methods with innovative techniques to produce wines of exceptional quality.

The Cabernet Sauvignon from La Riva features a deep and intense color, a captivating shade of ruby red that foreshadows the complexity of the bouquet. On the nose, it is marked by vigorous notes of wild berries, such as blueberries and black currants, skillfully intertwined with hints of spices and a subtle touch of vanilla from aging in barriques.

On the palate, this wine expresses a robust and well-structured body, maintaining a harmonious balance between firm yet velvety tannins and a freshness that invites another sip. Flavors of dark chocolate, coffee, and a hint of black pepper enrich the tasting experience, leading to a long and persistent finish that leaves a memorable impression.

Recommended to accompany hearty dishes such as roasted meats, game, and aged cheeses, this Cabernet Sauvignon proves to be an excellent dining companion that elevates every meal to a refined culinary experience. Ideally, serve it at a temperature of 16-18°C to enhance all its nuances.

Purchasing a bottle of DOC Cabernet Sauvignon from Boccadiferro-La Riva represents not only an appreciation for a great classic of Italian wine but also an investment in a tasting experience that will linger in the memory of every connoisseur.

Winery history
Tenuta La Riva was founded as a family project, driven by Alberto's passion and the tradition of several generations. The estate has grown steadily, focusing on bottle refermentation and the promotion of local grape varieties such as Pignoletto and Trebbiano Modenese, with the family involved in every stage from vineyard to cellar.
Production philosophy
The winery favors refermentation in bottle and a low-intervention winemaking approach: organic farming, low use of sulfites and techniques that respect the land and health. For sparkling wines they practice long periods of lees contact and perform disgorgements à la volée for low- or no-dosage wines.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate, located in the Colli Bolognesi at Castello di Serravalle, is surrounded by the characteristic calanchi of the Emilian Apennines and lies about half an hour from Bologna. It cultivates indigenous and international grape varieties suited to the hilly terrain.
