Calabrone IGT - Magnum by Bastianich is an extraordinary red wine, an expression of the passion and innovation of the Bastianich family in the heart of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, an Italian region renowned for the production of high quality wines. The Bastianich winery, founded by Lidia Bastianich and her son Joe, two prominent personalities in the world of cuisine and wine, is dedicated to the valorization of native and international vines, interpreted through the unique terroir of Friuli.

Il Calabrone, which in Italian means "bumblebee", is a wine produced in limited quantities, the result of a scrupulous selection of the best grapes, mainly Refosco, accompanied by Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Pignolo. This combination creates a powerful and complex blend, which reflects the richness and diversity of Friulian vines.

Presented in magnum format (1.5 litres), Calabrone IGT is a wine that stands out for its structure and aromatic intensity. The aging in French oak barriques helps to develop depth and complexity, adding notes of spices, vanilla and a lightly toasted touch that integrates perfectly with the ripe fruit.

Visually, the wine shows an intense and deep red color. On the nose, it opens with a rich and enveloping bouquet, where aromas of ripe red and black fruits, chocolate, liquorice and a subtle balsamic note stand out, which adds freshness and complexity to the olfactory profile.

In the mouth, the Calabrone reveals great structure and perfect balance. The tannins are ripe and velvety, well integrated with the acidity which gives the wine liveliness and long persistence. The finish is long and memorable, with a return of the fruity and spicy notes perceived on the nose.

Ideal to accompany rich and structured dishes, such as grilled red meats, game, mature cheeses and complex dishes of traditional Friulian cuisine, Calabrone IGT - Magnum by Bastianich is a wine that lends itself magnificently to ageing, promising to evolve and enrich itself with nuances and nuances over the years.
