L’Aglianico di Villa Raiano è un vino rosso ottenuto esclusivamente da uve Aglianico raccolte a mano e selezionate con cura. I grappoli, sistemati in piccole cassette per preservarne l’integrità, vengono portati in cantina dove ha inizio la fermentazione. Successivamente, il 50% del vino affina per sei mesi in botti di legno, mentre la restante parte matura in acciaio, così da mantenere intatta la freschezza del frutto ed esaltare la complessità aromatica.

Nel calice si presenta di un intenso rosso rubino con riflessi porpora. Al naso esprime profumi avvolgenti di cacao, tabacco e frutta fresca, con sentori di gelso, prugna e delicate sfumature balsamiche e mentolate. Al palato si distingue per la trama tannica matura e armoniosa, sostenuta da una piacevole freschezza e da una viva sapidità che ne allunga il finale.

Perfetto in abbinamento a primi piatti con sughi di lunga cottura e a grigliate di carne di ogni tipo, l’Aglianico di Villa Raiano è un vino dal carattere autentico e vigoroso, capace di esprimere appieno l’anima del territorio irpino.

Winery history
Vineyards planted in the 1960s and restored in 2001. First harvest in 2001. The estate is run by four siblings: Francesco, Maria Rosa, Giampaolo and Enrica.
Production philosophy
Organic farming since 2000 (officially certified by Suolo e Salute since 2009); biodynamic practices since 2018 and Demeter certification since 2023. Artisanal approach focused on observation, soil care and symbiosis with the environment.
Terroir and vineyards
Located on the Apennine border between Romagna and Tuscany, in the commune of Modigliana (Forlì-Cesena). Soils of marnosa-arenacea formation (marl and sandstone), vineyards surrounded by woods and sited on high hills (around 500 m elevation for some plots).
