This Carmenere from the Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT of Tenute San Leonardo presents a straightforward profile: in the glass ripe black fruit and dark cherry emerge, accompanied by light herbal notes and a hint of black pepper that gives rhythm without weighing it down. The palate is medium-bodied, with rounded tannins and a freshness that maintains liveliness and balance; the finish is clean but not intrusive, leaving a subtle mineral trace that invites a second glass. Overall it is elegant rather than imposing, suited to those seeking a food-friendly wine without excess.

It is best enjoyed at around 16–18 °C; a short period of aeration opens the aromas and softens the palate. It pairs naturally with mountain dishes, braises, grilled red meats and medium-aged cheeses, but also stands up to other flavorful preparations such as ragù or mushroom-based dishes. A wine of restrained but sincere personality, designed for everyday meals and unpretentious convivial moments.
