The "Collection 243" represents the 243rd vintage in the historic tradition of Louis Roederer, underlining the importance and uniqueness of this cuvée. This particular champagne is the result of a careful selection of the best grapes, which fully express Louis Roederer's philosophy focused on quality, balance and finesse.

The winemaking process and meticulous blending, which includes grapes from the house's most renowned vineyards, reflect Louis Roederer's commitment to creating champagnes of exceptional elegance and depth. Visually, the champagne presents itself with a shimmering golden color and a fine, persistent perlage, anticipating the luxurious tasting experience that follows. On the nose, intense aromas of white pulp fruit, notes of citrus, flowers, vanilla and a subtle minerality emerge, enriched by nuances of brioche and honey, which testify to the art of maturation and assembly practiced by Louis Roederer.

In the mouth, Carte Blanche Collection 243 demonstrates extraordinary harmony and complexity, with a rich fruit expression balanced by lively acidity and a creamy texture. The finish is long and satisfying, with a persistence of flavors that leaves a feeling of unforgettable elegance and refinement.

Champagne house based in Reims, renowned for its prestige cuvée Cristal and for direct control over much of its fruit through estate-owned vineyards. Strong commitment to organic and biodynamic practices.
Region: Champagne
Country: Francia
Founded: 1776
Grapes: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier
Cristal: a prestige cuvée created in 1876, the symbol of the house. Approximately 240 hectares of estate vineyards, distributed across 410 parcels in the main terroirs of Champagne. Parcel-by-parcel approach to winemaking and extended maturation in the cellar. A well-established commitment to organic and biodynamic practices; significant portions of the vineyard have been converted to organic and biodynamic farming. Annual production of approximately 3.5 million bottles, with a broad international presence.
Winery history
The house dates back to the 18th century: the business began as a small négociant and over time was inherited and renamed by Louis Roederer. In the 19th century the maison consolidated its position in foreign markets and in 1876 created its flagship cuvée, Cristal, at the request of Tsar Alexander II. During the 20th century and in recent years the family continued to expand the vineyards and the group also acquired other international wine estates.
Production philosophy
Priority is given to grape quality and respect for the land: parcel-by-parcel winemaking, extended cellar ageing, and a growing focus on sustainable viticulture. In recent decades the estate has begun converting to organic and biodynamic practices to enhance the terroir and biodiversity.
Terroir and vineyards
Estate-owned vineyards spread across the Champagne Grands Crus, notably the Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs; headquarters and principal winery in Reims.
