Cask 23 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley from Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars presents a complex, recognisable aromatic profile: ripe black fruits such as blackberry and plum, accompanied by dark cherry, sweet spice notes and a subtle vanilla touch. There are also earthy tones and a fine mineral hint that add depth. The aromatic expression remains clear and concentrated, without excess, indicating precision and care in the winemaking. Refined.

On the palate it is full and structured, with well-defined tannins and acidity that balances the fruit, delivering satisfying persistence. Versatile at the table, it pairs with grilled red meats, roasts and aged cheeses, and can also stand up to mushroom dishes and intense flavours. A light decant before serving and a temperature of around 16–18 °C are recommended. While concentrated in personality, it remains an example of elegance and restraint among Napa Valley Cabernets.

Winery history
The winery was founded with the purchase of the S.L.V. vineyard and the establishment of the estate in the 1970s; its international renown rose when the 1973 Cabernet S.L.V. took first place in the blind tasting at the 1976 Judgment of Paris. Over time the estate has expanded its vineyards and developed a range of estate and single-vineyard bottlings that have consolidated its reputation.

Production focused on showcasing the character of the terroir: balanced wines combining structure and finesse, crafted to express the typicity of individual vineyards and suitable for aging.
