Pairing Seafood and fish
This Champagne from Ruinart is presented as a Blanc de Blancs in Jeroboam format, packaged in a wooden case. The large-format bottle suits communal occasions and those seeking a striking presence at service. As a product of a historic Maison, it offers a sober, refined profile without excess, intended for tastings, dinners or events. No vintage is reported; public information notes only the Champagne designation and the Blanc de Blancs typology.

On opening, expect fine bubbles and a persistent perlage; the bouquet leans toward delicate notes of white flowers and white-fleshed fruit, with a balanced mineral hint. On the palate it is fresh and linear, with good acidity and a saline finish. It pairs well with seafood, fish in general and delicate crustacean dishes; it is advisable to serve it chilled but not icy, around 8–10 °C, and to consume within a reasonable time after opening. The wooden case eases transport and presentation.

Ruinart – Winery in Champagne (Reims)

Discover the story and wines of Ruinart.

Maison Ruinart, the oldest established Champagne house, founded on 1 September 1729 in Reims; renowned for a Chardonnay-driven style and its historic chalk cellars (crayères).
Region: Champagne (Reims)
Country: France
Winery history
Founded on 1 September 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart, inspired by the monk Dom Thierry Ruinart. In the 18th century the House acquired the underground crayères in Reims for ageing; the family became Ruinart de Brimont in 1817. The House continues its historic activity in Reims and the Champagne region.
Production philosophy
Pursuit of elegance with Chardonnay as the emblematic grape, care for terroir and living soils, commitment to sustainable viticulture (HVE and Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne certifications), collaborations with the arts, and innovation in eco‑designed packaging (e.g. "Seconde Peau").
Terroir and vineyards
Champagne region (France): grapes come mainly from the Côte des Blancs and the northern slopes of the Montagne de Reims. Historic vineyards include Sillery (Grand Cru) and Taissy (Premier Cru). The historic crayères are dug beneath Reims.
