Telmont Champagne Blanc de Noirs is a sparkling wine from a French house, made exclusively from black grapes, as indicated by the style name. It may show a golden colour, with lively mousse and fine bubbles. The nose typically suggests white-fleshed fruit, citrus notes and more mature nuances. On the palate, it combines freshness with structure, offering a pleasantly savoury impression and a dry finish. This Champagne is suited to those looking for a fuller cuvée than versions made only from white grapes, while still retaining energy and ease of drinking. It can accompany aperitifs, savoury bites, delicate cured meats and fish dishes, as well as preparations based on white meat. Served well chilled, it allows the lively bubbles and the wine’s progression on the palate to emerge more clearly. The bottle works equally well for an informal toast or around a convivial table, when a wine is desired that brings together elegance, freshness and a clearly defined structure without feeling excessive.

Winery history
Henri Lhôpital founded the house in Damery in 1912, following the Champagne riots. The Lhôpital family passed down its savoir-faire for four generations. In 2020, Rémy Cointreau became the majority shareholder, while the house retained its connection with the founding family.
Production philosophy
Telmont’s philosophy, expressed through the motto “In the Name of Mother Nature,” places terroir and the protection of nature at the centre. The house combines more sustainable viticulture, transparency and traditional artisanal methods.
Terroir and vineyards
The house is located in Damery, near Épernay, at 1 Avenue de Champagne. Its estate vineyard covers more than 20 hectares across eight crus; the house also sources grapes from more than 30 crus in Champagne’s main sub-regions.
