The La Colline Inspire Extra Brut Champagne by Lassaigne is an extraordinary example of refinement and complexity, originating from the renowned hills of the Champagne region in France. This bottle encapsulates the essence of rich soil and the experience of expert viticulturists who have mastered the art of winemaking in this area.

Produced exclusively with carefully selected Chardonnay grapes, this champagne boasts exceptional purity and freshness that immediately captures the palate. The Extra Brut methodology ensures a reduced sugar content, thus enhancing the natural qualities of the grapes and allowing complex aromas to emerge more pronouncedly.

Visually, La Colline Inspire presents a bright straw-yellow color with a very fine perlage, a hallmark of high-quality champagne production. On the nose, it offers a sophisticated bouquet with notes of bright citrus, white flowers, and a subtle mineral streak reminiscent of the limestone geology of its terroir.

On the palate, it is distinguished by its lively acidity and balanced structure, with a flavor palette that echoes hints of lime, green apple, and a fine note of brioche due to the long maturation on the lees. The finish is long-lasting, clean, and incredibly refreshing, leaving an elegant and satisfying sensation.

Considered an excellent choice for champagne aficionados seeking a product of character and pure expression of terroir, the La Colline Inspire Extra Brut Champagne by Lassaigne is perfect both as an aperitif and in accompaniment to sophisticated fish dishes or seafood. Its excellence is recognized and appreciated on special occasions, adding an undeniable touch of class to every celebration.

Jacques Lassaigne – Winery in Montgueux (Côte des Bar, Champagne)

Discover the story and wines of Jacques Lassaigne.

Champagne producer based in Montgueux (Aube), led by Emmanuel Lassaigne, known for mineral blanc de blancs and a low-intervention vineyard approach (organic/biodynamic).
Region: Montgueux (Côte des Bar, Champagne)
Country: Francia
Founded: 1964
Grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir
Vineyard in Montgueux, calcareous/chalky soil Specialist in mineral and taut blanc de blancs Vineyard management oriented toward organic/biodynamic practices. Managed by Emmanuel Lassaigne since 1999 Small-scale estate
Winery history
The Lassaigne family re-established vineyards in Montgueux in the second half of the 20th century; the domaine is commonly dated to the 1960s and grew into a small estate of a few hectares. Emmanuel Lassaigne took over the family estate in 1999 and has developed its international reputation by focusing on parcel-by-parcel winemaking, including fermentations in wood, and a vineyard management philosophy oriented toward organic and biodynamic practices. In some accounts, the historic commitment of his father Jacques to bringing back into cultivation the vineyards abandoned in the 1950s–60s is cited as the foundation of the current family project.
Production philosophy
Low intervention in the cellar and a strong focus on terroir: vineyard management following organic, biodynamic or integrative practices, manual work, hand-harvested grapes, parcel-by-parcel vinifications, controlled use of oak, and reduced technological interventions. The stated aim is to faithfully express the character of Chardonnay on the calcareous soils of Montgueux.
Terroir and vineyards
Montgueux — chalk hill a short distance from Troyes; a terroir often likened by specialists to the "Montrachet of Champagne" for its finesse.
Awards and recognitions
