Champagne R de Ruinart Vintage 2016 offers a restrained, measured bouquet true to the Maison's style. In the glass it shows a luminous straw color and fine bubbles that support a balanced, well-defined flavor structure. On the nose there are impressions of ripe white fruit, light citrus nuances and hints of baked bread, with mineral notes contributing to contained complexity; the olfactory intensity remains discreet and the overall tone almost austere.

On the palate it confirms a harmonious texture, with lively acidity that provides freshness, medium body and pleasant persistence. The sip is smooth, characterized by fruity returns and delicate toasty notes that do not overpower the overall balance. It pairs well with starters and dishes based on fish, shellfish and light preparations, and also works as an aperitif for convivial occasions when elegance without excess is sought. Best served chilled and allowed a moment in the glass to open up.

Winery history
Founded on 1 September 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart, inspired by the monk Dom Thierry Ruinart. In the 18th century the House acquired the underground crayères in Reims for ageing; the family became Ruinart de Brimont in 1817. The House continues its historic activity in Reims and the Champagne region.
