The Chardonnay Friuli Isonzo DOC Siet Vignis from Ronco Del Gelso is born from the fertile and breezy lands of the Isonzo area, known for its ability to enhance freshness and elegance in white wines. The Chardonnay grape finds an ideal environment here among the alluvial soils, producing a wine with a harmonious and well-structured character.

The winemaking method, carefully managed, preserves the aromatic typicality of the grape, highlighting fruity notes of ripe apple and pear, accompanied by delicate hints of almond and a subtle mineral background. The aging takes place on fine lees, giving the wine a pleasant roundness and a distinct olfactory complexity.

Perfect to accompany fish dishes, shellfish, and white meats, this Chardonnay reveals a vibrant freshness and a gustatory balance that satisfies refined palates seeking an intense and fragrant wine experience.

Discover the story and wines of Ronco del Gelso.

Wine estate based in Cormons (GO), Friuli-Venezia Giulia, best known for its local white wines such as the Pinot Grigio "Sot Lis Rivis" and for controlled production from grape to bottling.
Region: Friuli-Venezia Giulia
Country: Italia
Founded: 1988
Grapes: Pinot Grigio, Friulano, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Malvasia Istriana, Riesling, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gewürztraminer
Address: Via Isonzo 117, 34071 Cormons Founded: 1988 Declared production: approximately 150,000 bottles per year Vineyards in the Isonzo plain, on lean, stony soils. Recently built winery with full control over all production stages.
Winery history
Family-run winery: the Badin family cites 1988 as the year they first bottled under the Ronco del Gelso name. The estate shifted from livestock farming to wine production, growing from a few thousand initial bottles to a production, stated on their current website, of approximately 150,000 bottles annually.
Production philosophy
The company emphasizes full control of the production process. In the vineyard, agronomic choices are geared toward quality: trellised training using single Guyot, high planting density, soil management with cover crops and yield limitation to achieve wines that express the terroir.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located in the narrow strip of plain formed by the tributaries of the Isonzo, between the Isonzo plain and the Collio. The soils are described as lean, stony and dry, conditions the estate considers favorable for quality viticulture.
Awards and recognitions
