Chardonnay Salento IGP "Battigia" from the Paolo Leo winery is an expressive and refined white wine that captures the essence of the Puglian terroir. With a bright straw yellow color and greenish reflections, this Chardonnay offers a complex aromatic bouquet, where notes of ripe fruit such as peach and melon intertwine with nuances of white flowers and a delicate touch of vanilla and butter, the result of brief aging in oak barrels.

On the palate, the wine is rich and well-balanced, featuring a vibrant freshness that perfectly balances its soft and enveloping structure. The aromatic persistence is notable, leaving a pleasantly lingering sensation of white-fleshed fruit and a subtle herbal sap, reflecting the typicity of the Salento soil.

Ideal as an aperitif, Chardonnay "Battigia" by Paolo Leo is also perfect when paired with elaborate fish dishes, seafood, white meats, and medium-aged cheeses. Its versatility makes it an excellent companion for international dishes that require a wine with character and freshness.

Cultivated in the sunny lands of Salento, this Chardonnay is the result of a meticulous selection of grapes and careful vinification aimed at preserving all the original aromas and flavors of the varietal. A wine that expresses the passion and craftsmanship of the Paolo Leo winery, capable of transmitting through each sip the history and traditions of one of Italy's most fascinating wine-growing regions.
