The Château de Selle Côtes de Provence Rosé by Domaines Ott is one of the finest and most sought-after rosés from the Provence region of France. Domaines Ott, founded in 1912, is synonymous with high-quality rosé wines that embody the essence of Provençal terroir. With a long history of winemaking excellence, Domaines Ott is renowned for creating rosés that are both elegant and complex, combining winemaking tradition with constant innovation.

Château de Selle, located on the interior hills of Provence, benefits from a unique terroir characterized by limestone and clay soils, which give the wine a distinctive mineral structure and remarkable freshness. The combination of a sunny Mediterranean climate and the coolness brought by the higher altitudes creates the ideal conditions for the cultivation of the traditional varieties of Provence, such as Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Mourvèdre, which make up the blend of this exemplary rosé.

Château de Selle Côtes de Provence Rosé is famous for its pale and delicate pink color, which heralds the elegance and finesse of the wine. On the nose, it offers a rich and inviting aromatic bouquet, with notes of fresh red fruits such as strawberries and raspberries, floral accents, and a subtle minerality that reflects its terroir. Aging in concrete and stainless steel tanks, rather than in wood, allows the purity of the fruit and the freshness of the wine to be maintained and enhanced.

In the mouth, the wine stands out for its extraordinary balance between refreshing acidity and an aromatic complexity that develops harmoniously. The texture is silky, with a long and persistent finish that leaves a pleasantly mineral sensation and a freshness that invites another sip.

Château de Selle Côtes de Provence Rosé is an extremely versatile wine that pairs beautifully with a wide range of dishes, making it perfect for accompanying light starters, grilled fish, seafood and Mediterranean cuisine. It is also an excellent aperitif, capable of offering a tasting experience that celebrates the spirit and flavors of Provence.

In conclusion, Domaines Ott's Château de Selle Côtes de Provence Rosé represents the pinnacle of Provençal rosés, offering an impeccable combination of elegance, complexity and freshness. It is a wine that clearly expresses the richness of its terroir and the craftsmanship of one of the most respected wineries in the region, making every sip a special occasion.

Historic and recognizable 'Cœur de Grain' bottle. Vineyards planted on different soils that produce wines with distinct characteristics. Conversion to organic and sustainable practices underway; first Ecocert‑certified harvests reported by sources.
Winery history
The Ott family's activity in Provence began with Marcel Ott; the first documented purchase was Château de Selle. The family later acquired Clos Mireille and Château Romassan. During the 20th century Domaines Ott developed a quality-focused production, with parcel-based vinifications and an iconic bottle introduced by the family in the 1930s. More recently the project entered the sphere of the Roederer group, while technical management remained entrusted to the Ott family.
Production philosophy
A focus on the typicality of individual terroirs, yield limitation and meticulous winemaking. Consistent attention to soil quality and ageing. In recent years the group has begun converting part of its vineyards to more sustainable and organic practices.
Terroir and vineyards
The three estates are located in the Var department: Château de Selle in Taradeau, Clos Mireille in La Londe-les-Maures and Château Romassan in Le Castellet. The terroirs range from clay-limestone and chalky soils to schist and quartz, resulting in wines with distinct profiles.
