Winery history

Le origini dell'azienda risalgono a secoli di storia viticola nella commune di Margaux; l'attuale notorietà si è consolidata nel corso del XVIII e XIX secolo e con la classificazione ufficiale del 1855. Nel XX secolo la proprietà è passata attraverso diverse famiglie e, dal 1977, alla famiglia Mentzelopoulos che ha guidato un rilancio qualitativo. Recentemente (inizio XXI secolo) si è concretizzato un ricambio generazionale nella famiglia proprietaria.

Production philosophy

Attenzione meticolosa al vigneto e in cantina, con forte focus sulla qualità delle uve, selezione delle parcelle e pratiche enologiche orientate alla preservazione dell'eleganza e dell'espressione del terroir; l'azienda valorizza sia il suo Grand Vin sia vini secondari e un bianco secco di pregio.
