Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste, classified as a 5ème Grand Cru Classé in the Pauillac appellation, offers a refined and restrained profile. In the glass it shows an intense ruby colour; on the nose there are aromas of dark ripe fruit, earthy notes and discreet spicy nuances. On the palate it reveals structure and good concentration, tannins that are present but orderly and a freshness that tempers the gustatory density, leading to a pleasant persistence. The overall impression is one of elegance and sobriety, with a balance that favours clarity of sensation over opulence.

It pairs naturally with dishes of red meat, roasts and matured cheeses; it can also accompany more substantial preparations without overpowering them. To appreciate its subtleties, it is advisable to serve it at a moderate temperature and store it in a cool, stable place away from heat sources. Suitable both for focused tastings and informal dinners, it requires measured service that respects its tannic component and aromatic structure.
