Chimay tappo rosso è una birra trappista che nasce nel monastero di Scourmont nei pressi di Chimay (Belgio) nel 1850.
Il suo colore è un bellissimo rosso mogano, alla mescita produce una schiuma compatta e persistente. Al naso arrivano sentori fruttati e speziati, con note di caramello e malto tostato.
Una birra corposa, dolce e morbida al palato, con luppolo accentuato sul finale. Perfetta con mozzarella di bufala e carni rosse.
