The Collio DOC Sauvignon by Formentini dal Collio represents one of the most elegant and complex expressions of this vine at an international level, a distinctive feature of the winery which is committed to enhancing the peculiarities of the Collio area, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. This area is renowned for the production of high quality white wines, thanks to an ideal microclimate and soils that give the wines unique and distinctive characteristics.

This Sauvignon stands out for its bright straw yellow color with greenish reflections, an indication of freshness and vitality. On the nose, it opens with a notable aromatic intensity, where notes of tropical fruit, citrus, fresh grass and a characteristic touch of green pepper stand out, all wrapped in a light mineral nuance that reflects the excellence of the cultivation soil.

On the palate, the wine is balanced and harmonious, with an acidic freshness that supports its aromatic exuberance, offering a crunchy texture that invites the next sip. The tasting complexity is enriched by a long and satisfying persistence, which leaves sensations of cleanliness and a light minerality in the mouth, a typical expression of the Sauvignon grown in this particular area.

Ideal as an aperitif, the Collio DOC Sauvignon by Formentini dal Collio goes beautifully with light appetizers, fish-based dishes, seafood and fresh cheeses. Its liveliness and freshness also make it perfect for ethnic cuisine dishes, capable of expertly contrasting spicy flavours.

Formentini dal Collio, with this Sauvignon, offers a wine that is at the same time testimony to the richness of the Collio area and the enological passion that characterizes the winery, offering wine lovers a high-level tasting experience.
