Pairing Red meats, aged cheeses

The Côtes du Rhône Rouge by Chaume Arnaud is a red wine that is straightforward and authentic, capturing the essence of the Rhône region. This wine is primarily made from Grenache grapes, complemented by Syrah and Mourvèdre, which give it a robust and balanced character. On the nose, the Côtes du Rhône Rouge reveals notes of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, and a slight touch of Provençal herbs, making it extremely inviting. On the palate, the structure is generous with soft tannins that harmonize beautifully with the lively acidity. The finish is long and persistent, with a lingering taste of fruit and spices that invites another sip. Perfect to pair with red meat dishes, rich stews, or aged cheeses, this wine expresses the true spirit of the Côtes du Rhône terroir. A classic not to be missed for lovers of French red wines.

Vineyards clustered around Vinsobres and Saint-Maurice-sur-Eygues. Approximately 38 hectares in total under vine. Organic production and biodynamic practices in place since 2004; AB and Demeter certified since 2009. The Vinsobres cuvée is considered the estate's flagship and accounts for a large share of its production. Extensive use of typical Rhône varieties and local white varieties.
Winery history
Valérie Chaume-Arnaud established the winery in 1987 by leasing 4.5 hectares from her family; her husband Philippe joined the business in 1989. In the years that followed the property was reassembled and the vineyard expanded to its current size; their son Thibaud joined the estate in 2011, and the winery was expanded in 2019 to meet demand.
Production philosophy
The estate places strong emphasis on soil stewardship and the regeneration of agricultural ecosystems: it practices organic farming and has introduced biodynamic methods since 2004. The products have been AB and Demeter certified since 2009, and choices in the vineyard and cellar aim to express the terroir with balance and naturalness.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located on clay-limestone slopes and stony soils around Vinsobres and Saint-Maurice-sur-Eygues, with south–southeast exposures and elevations reaching about 400 m. The area benefits from the local Pontias wind, which brings diurnal temperature variation and promotes freshness and vine health.
