The Curtefranca DOC Rosso 2022 from Ca' Del Bosco presents itself as a wine of solid substance, characterized by balance and clarity. In the glass it shows a ruby colour, with aromas ranging from ripe red fruit to light spice notes and subtle tertiary hints. On the palate it is soft and enveloping, with present but smoothed tannins and a freshness that supports the whole without imposing itself. Aromatic and structure engage in a measured balance, offering pleasant sensations without excess.

It is recommended served slightly cool for reds to highlight freshness and balance; a short decant can help open the aromatic profile. It pairs well with everyday dishes such as delicate roasts, flavourful white meats, pasta with ragù and semi-mature cheeses. A proposal suited to those seeking an approachable but characterful red, to be enjoyed in the short to medium term; for more precise ageing guidance consult the winery.

Winery history
The Zanella family transformed a small farmhouse in the hills of Erbusco into a winemaking project featuring high-density vineyards and cellar innovations. The first vineyards were planted in the late 1960s; commercial production began in the early 1970s with their first Franciacorta and Curtefranca labels. Over the decades the estate has expanded its vineyards, introduced new winemaking techniques and established iconic wines such as the Cuvée Annamaria Clementi and reserve versions.
Production philosophy
The winery states an approach that places listening to nature at its core, balancing tradition and innovation. This is reflected in practices aimed at enhancing the terroir, targeted technological investments to preserve the qualities of the grapes, and cultural initiatives that connect wine and art. Since 2014, the adoption of certified organic viticulture on part of the estate has been reported.
