Descrizione

Desiderio Merlot Toscana IGT in magnum format expresses a warm, enveloping version of Tuscan Merlot from Avignonesi. On the nose it opens with aromas of ripe plum, black cherry and a balsamic note that fades into sweet spices; the profile remains direct but not banal. On the palate the wine is full and smooth, with silky tannins that support the structure without closing it; the acidity is balanced and provides good flow, while the finish leaves traces of ripe fruit and light minerality. The sip offers a nice harmony between fruit and softness.

The magnum format enriches the experience, making the wine ideal for long convivial gatherings and for substantial dishes: roasts, braised game, aged cheeses and mushroom-based preparations. It benefits from a short aeration before serving and should be served around 16-18°C to appreciate its softness and freshness. It’s a bottle that speaks of conviviality, to bring to the table when you’re looking for a Merlot with character that’s nonetheless easy to enjoy.
