Fratelli Alessandria’s Dolcetto d’Alba DOC is made in Verduno from Dolcetto grapes grown in vineyards located between 250 and 370 metres above sea level. The vines are around 40 years old on average, rooted in limestone and silty soils, and trained using the Guyot system. The grapes are harvested by hand during the second half of September, from a total vineyard area of approximately one hectare.
Vinification involves 6-8 days of fermentation and maceration in stainless steel tanks, kept at a constant temperature of 25-27 °C. The wine then ages for 5-7 months in stainless steel or cement tanks, followed by at least 1-2 months in horizontally laid bottles. This classic, highly drinkable Dolcetto d’Alba expresses the grape variety’s characteristic fruity aromas, supported by a round and balanced body. Its approachable style makes it an ideal companion for every course of a meal.
