La Falanghina di Villa Raiano è un vino bianco ottenuto esclusivamente da uve Falanghina selezionate e raccolte a mano nel momento ideale di maturazione. I grappoli vengono adagiati in piccole cassette per evitare lo schiacciamento e preservare l’integrità degli acini fino al loro arrivo in cantina, dove vengono sottoposti a una pressatura soffice a grappolo intero per estrarre solo il mosto fiore, la parte più fine e profumata. La fermentazione e l’affinamento avvengono interamente in acciaio inox, con una prolungata sosta sulle fecce fini che conferisce al vino struttura e complessità.

Nel calice si presenta di un brillante giallo paglierino. Al naso sprigiona profumi intensi e armoniosi di agrumi, ananas e pesca bianca, in un equilibrio naturale tra freschezza e maturità aromatica. Al palato è fresco e piacevolmente sapido, con un equilibrio riuscito tra acidità e volume, chiudendo con un finale asciutto e persistente.

Versatile e raffinata, la Falanghina di Villa Raiano accompagna con eleganza i piatti della cucina mediterranea e vegetariana. Si sposa alla perfezione con spaghetti alle zucchine e menta, timballi ai formaggi, minestre di patate, pasta con i broccoli, carciofi ripieni, calamari arrostiti e ravioli con le sarde.

Winery history
Villa Raiano was established in 1996 in the former facilities of the Basso family’s olive oil mill in the hamlet of Raiano. The current winery, a modern facility integrated into the landscape, was built in 2009 on a hill in the area of San Michele di Serino and serves as the estate’s operational hub.
Production philosophy
Showcasing the territory and Irpinia's indigenous varieties, the estate works to convey the landscape and the soil-and-climate differences of each vineyard, offering ranges that reflect the identity of individual plots and prioritizing organic farming practices.
Terroir and vineyards
Irpinia: vineyards spread across several municipalities and elevations that influence microclimates and soils; the winery overlooks the valley of the Sabato River and the surrounding hills, and produces wines in the main denominations of the province of Avellino.
