Annamaria Clementi 2016 from Ca' del Bosco is a Franciacorta Riserva that impresses with elegance and clarity. The perlage is very fine and delivers immediate creaminess; on the nose it opens with white flowers, citrus zest and light notes of leavened dough, with a hint of ripe white-fleshed fruit. Overall it shows a balance between acidic tension and enveloping texture, without excess, giving a measured yet recognizable style. It offers a vibrant brightness that slowly evolves in the glass, revealing successive stages of complexity.

On the palate it is sapid and lively, with a well-modulated body and a return of toasted notes that prolong the persistence. The structure supports rich culinary pairings — shellfish, oily fish, mushroom-based dishes and delicate meats — but it also works excellently as a wine for contemplation. It is best enjoyed cool but not ice-cold, to appreciate the aromatic progression and the finesse of the bubbles that accompany every sip. It shows at its best when poured slowly: the bubbles sustain the freshness and the wine maintains its tension even after several hours.

Winery history
The Zanella family transformed a small farmhouse in the hills of Erbusco into a winemaking project featuring high-density vineyards and cellar innovations. The first vineyards were planted in the late 1960s; commercial production began in the early 1970s with their first Franciacorta and Curtefranca labels. Over the decades the estate has expanded its vineyards, introduced new winemaking techniques and established iconic wines such as the Cuvée Annamaria Clementi and reserve versions.
Production philosophy
The winery states an approach that places listening to nature at its core, balancing tradition and innovation. This is reflected in practices aimed at enhancing the terroir, targeted technological investments to preserve the qualities of the grapes, and cultural initiatives that connect wine and art. Since 2014, the adoption of certified organic viticulture on part of the estate has been reported.
