The Friulano Friuli Isonzo DOC Toc Bas by Ronco Del Gelso is born in the dedicated area of Friuli Venezia Giulia, precisely in the Isonzo zone, renowned for its alluvial soils and the temperate climate that favors a balanced ripening of the grapes. This wine is made from Friulano grapes, an indigenous variety that best expresses the minerality and freshness of the territory. The aging mainly takes place in steel, thus preserving the genuineness and aromatic vitality typical of this variety.

In the glass, it presents a beautiful bright straw yellow color, with delicate aromas of fresh almond, white flowers, and herbaceous notes recalling the Mediterranean scrub. The sip is soft, savory, and well-structured, with a harmonious and clean finish. Ideal paired with seafood appetizers, delicate fish dishes, and fresh cheeses, it represents an authentic expression of the Friulian winemaking tradition.

An elegant and versatile wine, perfect for those seeking freshness and authentic character.

Country: Italia
Founded: 1988
Grapes: Pinot Grigio, Friulano, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Malvasia Istriana, Riesling, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gewürztraminer
Address: Via Isonzo 117, 34071 Cormons Founded: 1988 Declared production: approximately 150,000 bottles per year Vineyards in the Isonzo plain, on lean, stony soils. Recently built winery with full control over all production stages.
Winery history
Family-run winery: the Badin family cites 1988 as the year they first bottled under the Ronco del Gelso name. The estate shifted from livestock farming to wine production, growing from a few thousand initial bottles to a production, stated on their current website, of approximately 150,000 bottles annually.
Production philosophy
The company emphasizes full control of the production process. In the vineyard, agronomic choices are geared toward quality: trellised training using single Guyot, high planting density, soil management with cover crops and yield limitation to achieve wines that express the terroir.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located in the narrow strip of plain formed by the tributaries of the Isonzo, between the Isonzo plain and the Collio. The soils are described as lean, stony and dry, conditions the estate considers favorable for quality viticulture.
Awards and recognitions
