Régnard's Gevrey-Chambertin is an example that elegantly represents the typicality and refinement of Burgundy wines in France, particularly those produced in the renowned Gevrey-Chambertin area. This region is famous for its red wines, mainly produced with Pinot Noir grapes, which are celebrated for their complexity, structure and aging ability. While I don't have specific details about Régnard's Gevrey-Chambertin, I can share some general characteristics you can expect from a wine of this appellation.

Gevrey-Chambertin wines are known for their robustness and richness, offering a range of aromas that includes red fruits such as cherry and strawberry, floral accents such as violet, notes of spice and, with age, nuances of leather , tobacco and undergrowth. Production in this region benefits from an exceptionally favorable terroir, with limestone and clay soils that help give the wines a marked minerality and a complex tannic structure.

The Régnard winery, with its dedication to quality and respect for the terroir, is committed to producing wines that are an authentic expression of their place of origin. For Gevrey-Chambertin, this means rigorous selection of Pinot Noir grapes and careful winemaking, which often includes fermentation in open tanks and aging in French oak barriques to enrich the wine with additional aromatic nuances and tannic softness.

On the palate, a quality Gevrey-Chambertin stands out for its perfect balance between aromatic intensity, tannic structure and acid liveliness, which together create a complex and persistent tasting experience. Its richness and complexity make it suitable for pairing with intense and tasty dishes, such as red meats, mushroom dishes and mature cheeses.

Despite the lack of specific details on Régnard's Gevrey-Chambertin, one can expect a wine that respects and reflects the prestigious reputation of the wines of this appellation, offering wine lovers a refined expression deeply linked to the rich winemaking tradition of Burgundy.

Carefully managed viticulture, hand-harvested with predominantly manual operations. Production of typical white and red wines from the Côte de Beaune. Awards and mentions in wine guides.
Winery history
The first vineyards were acquired by Auguste Regnard shortly after World War I; management has remained in the family, and since 2010 Florian Regnard has represented the fourth generation. Over time the vineyard has expanded to include plots in appellations such as Maranges, Santenay and Chassagne-Montrachet.
Production philosophy
The estate favors a considered approach to farming, with limited mechanization and extensive manual work; in the cellar a modern approach to winemaking is combined with carefully calibrated wood aging to express the terroir.
