Historic vineyards around the castle and the presence of Gallo-Roman fermentation vats. The estate has been in the Barruol family for generations. Winery history
The estate has been linked to the Barruol family for centuries: official records cite family ties dating back to 1490, and the domaine's homepage displays "Est. 1570". The site preserves Gallo-Roman fermentation vats and was progressively steered toward modern quality under the guidance of Louis Barruol; from the late 1990s the domaine also developed a négociant-vigneron activity.
