This sublime red wine Gigondas from the acclaimed Cave de Cairanne is a true treasure of the Rhône region, renowned for its wines of extraordinary depth and complexity. Cave de Cairanne is known for its expertise in crafting grapes, selecting only the finest fruits to create wines that fully express the unique terroir of Gigondas.

The wine presents an intense red color, almost impenetrable, which preludes a complex nose where notes of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, and a slight hint of aromatic herbs emerge. On the palate, it reveals itself to be powerful yet balanced, with well-structured tannins that harmoniously blend with aromas of blackberries, black cherries, and a subtle trace of black pepper and vanilla, derived from barrel aging.

Excellent to serve with hearty dishes such as grilled red meats, rich stews, and aged cheeses, the Gigondas from Cave de Cairanne offers an intense sensory experience, ideal for those seeking in a wine not only quality but a true narrative of a territory rich in history and winemaking tradition.

Winery history
Founded as a cooperative in 1929, the Cave de Cairanne developed as a collective of local winegrowers. Today it brings together numerous members who work the vineyards in Cairanne and the surrounding area. The brand name Camille Cayran identifies the range of wines produced by the cooperative and reflects the collaborative work between the winegrowers and a central technical team.
Production philosophy
Careful vineyard work and respect for local heritage: soil care, rigorous grape selection and precise winemaking. The winery declares a combination of respect for traditional practices and openness to innovation, producing both conventional and organic wines and some cuvées with no added sulfites.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyard is located in the heart of the crus of the southern Rhône Valley. The terrain is varied: alluvial terraces, garrigue and a hilly massif with limestone-clay soils, marls and pebbles. The Mediterranean climate, the strong Mistral wind and the pronounced day–night temperature variation characterize grape ripening. The location is close to appellations such as Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas and Vacqueyras.
Awards and recognitions
The winery has received numerous awards and medals in international guides and competitions; among these is being named "Cave Coopérative de l’Année 2024" by Revue des Vins, along with mentions and medals from Decanter, Mundus Vini and the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, and citations in Guide Hachette.
