The Zuidam Dutch Courage Old Toms Gin is a refined and complex expression of traditional Dutch gin. Produced by the renowned Zuidam distillery, located in the heart of the Netherlands, this gin is distilled with a careful selection of natural botanicals, which include juniper berries, coriander, angelica root, iris root, orange, and lemon. This mix gives the gin a rich and unique aromatic profile.
The production process of the Dutch Courage Old Toms involves meticulous distillation, followed by a maturation period in small oak barrels that add a light touch of vanilla and warm woody notes to the gin. Unlike standard gins, the Dutch Courage Old Toms has an addition of a small amount of natural sugar, which softens the herbaceous notes and enhances the complexity of the flavor.
