This 1988 Barolo grappa from Marolo's Le Grandi Riserve line stands out for a balance between maturity and finesse: on the nose it offers a rich yet composed texture, with notes of dried fruit, candied orange peel and a delicate spiciness. The aromatic intensity remains crystalline, without harshness, and suggests a long evolution that has softened the edges, leaving room for a pleasant olfactory depth.

On the palate it presents a full but harmonious body, warm without being unbalanced, with an enveloping softness and a persistence that highlights notes of honey, sweet tobacco and a light mineral hint. Ideal to be sipped slowly from a tulip glass, it is perfect as a final meditation after a meal or paired with dark chocolate and very aged cheeses; an expression suited to those who appreciate mature distillates, with a clean flavour and a long presence on the palate.
