The Grappa di Barolo 1996 Le Grandi Riserve from Marolo presents itself as a spirit that has managed to harmonize time and raw material: clear yet rich, it shows an evolved and well-defined aromatic profile. On the nose there are sensations of ripe dried fruit, light vanilla notes and a hint of sweet spices; the complexity is well balanced, never becoming heavy, and leaves room for an olfactory clarity that invites tasting.

On the palate it is warm and enveloping, with a pleasant roundness and a structure that supports the alcoholic warmth well; the persistence is long, with returns of toasted almond, hints of sweet tobacco and citrus zest that make the finish dry and satisfying. Best enjoyed in a tulip glass, at room temperature or slightly cool, ideal for after-dinner contemplation or paired with dark chocolate and aged cheeses, when you seek a sip that accompanies with elegance.
