This Grappa di Barolo Bussia 2007 Anniversario from Marolo is a spirit of character that preserves the personality of the Barolo pomace and the imprint of the vintage. On the nose it opens with intensity, offering a composed picture of ripe fruit, light notes of cherry and stewed plum, then broadening with toasted nuances and sweet spices; the profile remains warm but never overbearing, with an elegant progression that reveals a fine aromatic clarity. There is also a subtle mineral note that adds further dynamism.

On the palate it shows a rounded, enveloping texture: the warmth is present but well balanced, supported by a softness that tempers the more austere tones. The finish is long and full, with returning notes of dried fruit and bitter cocoa; it is best enjoyed neat in small glasses, at a slightly cool room temperature. Excellent as a meal closer alongside dark chocolate or aged cheeses, or for contemplative sipping when you seek a complex, well-balanced sip.
