The Grappa Mazzetti Barolo Invecchiata 70cl Collection is a refined distillation that captures the essence of one of Italy's most prestigious wines, Barolo. Instead of using more common distillation methods, Mazzetti carefully selects pomace from Nebbiolo grapes, vinified to produce Barolo, and subjects them to an aging process in oak barrels. This not only intensifies the aromatic profile of the grappa but also imparts a unique complexity and depth.
After a maturation period, the grappa exhibits an amber color, while its bouquet is enriched with tones of ripe fruit, spices, vanilla, and chocolate, the result of the interaction between the alcohol and the wood. The taste, velvety and persistent, reveals tannin notes slightly softened by the natural sweetness of the pomace residue.
