The Grèsy Chardonnay Langhe DOC by the Marchesi di Gresy is a wine that embodies the elegance and refinement of the Langhe area, in Piedmont, offering a high quality interpretation of the famous Chardonnay grape. This wine reflects the winery's attention and dedication to the production of excellent wines.

Of a brilliant straw yellow colour, Grèsy Chardonnay Langhe DOC offers a complex and enveloping aromatic bouquet. Intense aromas of yellow pulp fruit emerge, such as peach and pineapple, enriched by floral notes of white flowers, such as jasmine and acacia, and subtle accents of vanilla and butter.

In the mouth, this wine reveals an elegant and refined structure. The sip is full and enveloping, with a pleasant freshness and a creamy softness that gives the wine a silky and velvety texture. The fruity and buttery flavors integrate harmoniously, leaving a long and persistent finish, with a pleasant note of toasted hazelnut.

The Grèsy Chardonnay Langhe DOC from the Marchesi di Gresy is a versatile wine that lends itself to accompanying a variety of dishes, such as seafood appetizers, first courses based on fish and seafood, risottos and vegetable dishes. It also lends itself to being enjoyed alone, in moments of relaxation and conviviality.

This wine represents an authentic expression of the Langhe and its winemaking tradition, offering a refined and satisfying tasting experience that celebrates the quality and elegance of Chardonnay and the Piedmontese territory.

Winery history
The estate of Tenute Cisa Asinari has been linked to the di Grésy family since the 18th century; the family has owned the Martinenga cru since 1797. Winemaking under the Grésy label in its modern form was begun by Alberto di Grésy around 1973, when the family decided to produce wine exclusively from their own grapes and to promote wines that expressed the identity of the vineyards.
Production philosophy
The estate places great emphasis on vineyard care and on respecting the grape varieties and tradition: winemaking aims to enhance the terroir’s expression without altering it, producing elegant, balanced wines that reflect the character of each vineyard.
Terroir and vineyards
The estates are located across the Langhe and Monferrato and include Martinenga, Monte Aribaldo, La Serra and Monte Colombo. Martinenga is regarded as one of the area’s finest geographical indications, and the grapes from all the estates are generally vinified at the Martinenga winery.
