Descrizione

Rubrato from Feudi di San Gregorio is a red wine labelled Irpinia Aglianico DOC, presented in a restrained style. It shows a deep ruby colour; on the nose there are impressions of dark berries, ripe cherry and plum, with subtle spicy and earthy notes. On the palate it is structured, with present but integrated tannins, good acidity and a body that supports flavours of black fruit and a slight mineral hint. The persistence is pleasant, ending with a dry, flavourful finish.

Winery history

Founded in 1986 by the Capaldo family to promote Irpinia’s native varieties. Brand restyling by Massimo Vignelli from 2001. New winery complex (including the Marennà restaurant) developed in the 2000s. In May 2021 Feudi became a Benefit Company; the group expanded through Tenute Capaldo and other projects. The estate manages roughly 300 ha of vineyards across more than 800 parcels and exports worldwide.
