Irpinia Aglianico DOC "Serpico" from Feudi di San Gregorio shows a deep ruby red color with violet reflections. On the nose it offers a rich, concentrated aromatic profile with dark berries such as plum and cherry, notes of black pepper and a light herbal touch; floral nuances and a mineral streak also contribute to the overall balance. The olfactory impression is clear but not exaggerated, suited to those seeking a structured wine without extremes.

On the palate it reveals body and well-present tannins, supported by a fresh acidity that gives liveliness. The persistence is pleasant, with fruity and spicy echoes accompanying the finish. It pairs with red meat dishes, braises, roasts and hard cheeses; it stands up to savory, full-flavored preparations typical of Italian cuisine. Suitable for informal dinners and more carefully set tables, it accompanies both ragù and traditional dishes as well as more structured preparations. We recommend serving at a moderate temperature and, if desired, a brief decanting to open the aromas.
