The Lagrein Alto Adige DOC from Tenuta J Hofstatter shows an intense, deep color, typical of the variety. On the nose there are aromas of dark berries, blackberry and ripe cherry, accompanied by delicate spice notes and a subtle floral hint. On the palate it is full-bodied, with a compact structure supported by present but well-integrated tannins and freshness that balances the substance. The balance between fruit and a saline element makes the sip enveloping without being excessive.

It naturally pairs with local cuisine and dishes based on red meat, cured meats and medium- to full-bodied cheeses. It is advisable to serve it at a moderate temperature in a large glass to favor aromatic expression. Its drinkability is immediate but it also offers nuances that benefit from some oxygenation. It suits those looking for a wine that conveys the character of the grape and the territory, to enjoy both in informal occasions and with more structured gastronomic pairings.
