The Lagrein Kretzer DOC from Dorigati winery is a rosé wine that elegantly conveys the unique characteristics of the Lagrein grape, cultivated in the Alpine valleys of Trentino-Alto Adige. This wine exhibits a lively rosé color, almost tending towards light ruby, which immediately invites tasting.

On the nose, the Lagrein Kretzer reveals an intriguing aromatic bouquet, with fruity notes of raspberry, strawberry and a slight hint of pomegranate. These are accompanied by delicate floral touches and a light spiciness that makes the olfactory profile complex and pleasantly fresh.

On the palate, it stands out for its extraordinary freshness and the balance between acidity and body. The texture is soft and the tannins are well-integrated, contributing to a velvety and persistent sensation in the mouth. The aftertaste is clean, characterized by a pleasant return of the fruity sensations perceived on the nose.

This rosé is ideal to accompany light appetizers, fish dishes, or white meats. It also pairs perfectly with vegetarian cuisine and dishes featuring fresh cheeses. The recommended serving temperature is between 8 and 10 degrees Celsius, to enhance all its organoleptic characteristics.

The Lagrein Kretzer DOC by Dorigati represents an excellent choice for those who wish to explore the elegance and freshness of Alpine rosés, showing how a grape variety traditionally used for red wines can express itself just as well in a sophisticated and pleasantly surprising rosé version.

Winery history
The Dorigati family has been active in Mezzocorona for generations: the company traces its origins to 1858 and developed as a family-run business dedicated to viticulture in the Piana Rotaliana. The current premises at Via Dante 5 date back to the early 20th century, with later extensions and a winery renovation completed in 1998. In the 1980s the winery also launched the Methius project, a Trento DOC Metodo Classico reserve.
Production philosophy
The winery focuses on territorial identity and quality: traditional viticultural practices, cluster selection and winemaking designed to bring out the character of the individual vineyards of the Piana Rotaliana and the pedemontane hills. It produces both 'classic' wines tied to the territory and Metodo Classico sparkling wines, with attention to artisanal process management.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are concentrated in the Piana Rotaliana and on the foothill slopes of Mezzocorona, with some plots associated with specific crus, such as the 'Bagolari' vineyard. Some Traditional Method cuvées come from hilly areas such as Faedo and Pressano; the soils include fluvial and glacial deposits typical of the area.
