Il Lambrusco dell'Emilia - Nero di Cio della Tenuta La Piccola è un esemplare affascinante del tradizionale Lambrusco, noto per il suo carattere vivace e la sua effervescenza. Winery history
Owned by the Fontana family since the 1960s, the estate was modernized in the 1990s by Licinio Fontana with the introduction of more rigorous production criteria. In more recent years production has also been entrusted to younger technical staff, while retaining strong roots in the local Lambrusco tradition.
Production philosophy
The winery describes itself as "simple farmer wine" and emphasizes a working style that combines creativity, respect for the raw material and organic practices. It promotes an "elegant farmer" approach: producing wines that reflect the land with attention to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located in the heart of Emilia, between the provinces of Reggio Emilia and Parma, in Montecchio Emilia, with vineyards situated on the banks of the Enza River and at an altitude of approximately 105 meters above sea level.
