The Langhe Nebbiolo DOC Firagnetti from Bovio winery is a red wine that enchants with its elegance and complexity. Produced in the renowned hills of Langhe, in Piedmont, this wine is the result of skilled winemaking from the Nebbiolo grape variety, known for its ability to translate the terroir into wines of great expression.

On the nose, the Langhe Nebbiolo Firagnetti displays a captivating bouquet of ripe red fruits such as cherries and plums, enriched by floral nuances of rose and violets. Spicy notes of pepper and vanilla blend harmoniously with subtle touches of leather and tobacco, evidence of its aging in wood.

On the palate, the wine has a solid yet balanced structure. The tannins are finely woven and well integrated with the acidity, typical of Nebbiolo, contributing to a persistent and refreshing finish. Its elegance perfectly complements the typical power of the grape variety, making this wine an exemplar of great finesse and drinkability.

The Bovio winery, a family-run operation with a long history in the viticulture of Langhe, carefully manages every phase of production, from hand-picking the grapes to vinification, following traditional methods that respect the natural rhythm of the vines.

The Langhe Nebbiolo Firagnetti is a wine that can be enjoyed in its youth but also has excellent aging potential. It pairs splendidly with dishes from Piedmontese cuisine, such as agnolotti del plin or braised meats in Barolo, as well as with aged cheeses and red meats. An authentic expression of the Langhe territory that continues to seduce wine enthusiasts around the world.

Winery history
The Bovio family has been in La Morra for generations. In the 1950s and 1960s Alessandro Bovio farmed grapes on a small scale. In the 1970s Gianfranco renovated the winery, and in the following years the estate began selling Nebbiolo and Barolo. Since then the estate has expanded and modernized the winery, and management has gradually passed to the next generations.
Production philosophy
The winemaking approach is founded on respect for tradition and the land: each vineyard is vinified separately to express the characteristics of the individual cru, with artisanal care in the vineyard and cellar and aging in large casks where appropriate. Attention is focused on patience, precise management of the parcels and fidelity to the character of the Langhe.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards located in La Morra and partly in Castiglione Falletto, with estate crus designated as Annunziata, Rocchettevino, Parussi, Gattera and Arborina. The estate reports approximately ten hectares of vineyards distributed across the principal MGAs of the Langhe, with vinifications carried out separately by parcel.
Awards and recognitions
Bovio's wines have received high ratings from international critics: in particular, their Barolo expressions have earned high scores from James Suckling, Robert Parker and Wine Spectator across several vintages.
