Barolo DOCG 2021 by Franco Boasso immediately shows a refined profile rich in personality: in the glass it displays a bright ruby color and aromas recalling ripe cherry, rose petal and light earthy and spicy notes. The aromatic texture is elegant, without excess, with a lively freshness that balances the wine’s more austere side; the tannins are present but smoothed, suggesting control and finesse rather than harshness.

On the palate it is complete, with a structure that supports the sip and a good sapidity that invites a second glass; the finish is warm and slightly balsamic, ideal to accompany red meat dishes, braises, stewed game and aged cheeses. Serve at a moderate temperature and, if possible, open ahead of time to let it breathe; it deserves a few years in the cellar to reveal all its nuances, while still offering a balance capable of giving satisfaction even immediately.
